The hottest, new spa products were unveiled at ISPA’s annual conference, held for the first time in my hometown of Phoenix.
The conference provides a first-look and sneak peek at all the spa goodies about to hit the market for all you spa divas to try. Here’s a look at some of my favorite spa products from the show.
I just had my first CBD massage at La Canterra Resort and Spa in Texas, and was blown away by the results. I’ve had tons of massages, but never one that had long-lasting effects like this one, so I was especially interested in the many CBD products at the show. CBD Care Garden, the oil featured in my massage, offers a cream called Melt available to consumers and CEO Vanessa Marquez shared with me that the massage oil will soon be available. According to Marquez, the amount of CBD in her line is far higher than the concentration in other products. Zilis Ultra Cell was offering its full-spectrum CBD drops and I liked the innovative CBD honey shown by Mana Artisan Botanics.
Yes, CBD is derived from the same plant that gives us pot, but none of the spa products contain THC, the part of the botanic that will get you high. The research on CBD is strong, showing that CBD can help with many ailments because of its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and calming effects. The reason CBD is working on so many issues is because our body actually has an edocannabinoid system. Yep, our body actually needs cannabinoid to function optimally. While our body makes some, phytocannabinoids also work with the this system and help aid the system.
Ok. I’ll admit I first looked at Au Naturale simply because they’re based in Green Bay and I’m a raving Packers fan. But seriously, a natural cosmetics company based in the land of beer and fried cheese curds is intriguing. Ashley Prange, a former nuclear analyst, created the company so you can bet that the formulation of the products is spot on. Every ingredient is scrutinized so that the entire line is vegan, gluten-free, organic, paraben free & ethical. The company just recently repackaged its line making it simpler for make-up dunces like myself to apply effectively. Right now I’m loving the simple su/stain Matte Lip Stain in Fortune.
Massage on Demand
I am a massage junkie. With the knots in my back, my first hire when I make it big is going to be a masseuse on staff. But until then, the Hypervolt could be my new best friend. While it looks like a tool I’d expect my handyman to use more than something I’d expect to see in a tranquil spa, the Hypervolt is making a mark in Massage Envy locations, and can be purchased by the average spa lover to use at home. The handheld tool delivers up to 3200 percussions per minute. That’s a lot of horsepower to knock out knots. The device is shown to relieve pain, stiffness and soreness while improving circulation and range of motion. While the masseuse who demonstrated it on me said you could do it on yourself, I think it would be hard to hit the shoulders and mid back. I’d buy one in a heartbeat if my boyfriend was local and could use it on me. I think that’s reason enough for a move, right spa divas?
